Nutrition & Dietetics
The nutrition & dietetics degree focuses on the nutrition and health of individuals and communities. Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) work toward the prevention and treatment of diseases. To become an RDN, you will have to complete a masters degree in nutrition & dietetics.
Nutritional Sciences
The nutritional sciences degree focuses on how to utilize food for growth and metabolism in both disease and non-disease states. Students develop a strong background in biology, chemistry, physiology and biochemistry and an understanding of the mechanisms through which dietary factors act.
Fermented Foods & Beverages Certificate
The fermented foods and beverages certificate is open to all UW–Madison undergraduates, providing the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in the science, development, production and marketing of fermented foods and beverages.
