    The UW Integrated Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics

    UW Health and the Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences have partnered to bring you the UW Integrated Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics. This program is a great option for students who want to seamlessly transition from their undergraduate DPD program to the MS in Clinical Nutrition.

    • 4 semester program – you are RDN eligible within 15 months of finishing your bachelor’s degree.

    Program concentrations for 2026-2027 academic year

    1. Medical Nutrition Therapy-Adult Emphasis: 25 weeks exploring chronic, acute, surgery, pediatrics, nutrition clinic, renal, diabetes and critical care with remaining weeks in public health settings and food system administration
    2. Medical Nutrition Therapy-Pediatric Emphasis: 16-18 weeks in various pediatric settings, 6-8 weeks in adult medical nutrition therapy, with remaining weeks in community nutrition and public health settings and food system administration
    3. Lifestyle Medicine & Community Nutrition: 8 weeks in lifestyle medicine, community and public health settings, 5-6 weeks in culinary medicine/food system administration, and 20 weeks in various medical nutrition therapy settings
    4. Performance Nutrition: 12+ weeks with UW Madison Athletics, RecWell or other performance based nutrition programming, 18-22 weeks in medical nutrition therapy, 4-6 weeks in community and public health

    Applications will be reviewed in both the fall and spring cycles with a program start date in June 2026. All applications should be submitted via DICAS.

    • Fall Cycle: Apply by October 5, 2025
    • Spring Cycle: Apply by January 15, 2026
