Becca earned her Bachelor in Food Science and a certificate in Art Studios at UW Madison. In undergrad, she focused on product development and organic chemistry, and co-taught the first-year chemistry laboratory. In her free time, Becca enjoys cooking, powerlifting, Ultimate frisbee, and astronomy.

My research focuses on using the CRISPR/Cas 9 to engineer microbial strains that can efficiently utilize cheap feedstocks to produce succinate. When I am not engaged in research, I enjoy reading, photographing landscapes and scenery, and taking walks.
